Claims for earnings-related allowance must always be made retroactively. An application for daily allowance can therefore be made only up to the current day. The application must be made at the latest within 3 months from the first day of unemployment.
We recommend that you send your application for daily allowance through WebKassa -service. Please fill in the application form carefully, as an incomplete application will require additional clarifications and handling of your application will be delayed.
The instructions below apply to the unemployed. If you have been laid off, read about applying for daily allowance here.
You can send your first application, when you have been a job seeker for about two weeks.
If your unemployment lasts less than two weeks, you can send an application as soon as your unemployment ends.
Please note, that as a rule the fund marks the rhythm for further applications according to the day of week on which your first application ends.
If your unemployment continues, further application must be sent either in periods of 4 weeks (from Monday to Sunday) or monthly (either for a calendar month or from the middle of a month to the middle of next month, for example from the 10. day to the 9. day of next month).
If the last weekday of your first application was a Sunday, the fund, as a rule, marks the rhythm of follow-up applications as 4 weeks. In other case, the rhythm is marked as monthly.
If you work part-time or gig job (= full-time job that lasts a maximum of 2 weeks) during unemployment, you must send applications in the same rhythm as your salary is paid.

When you work during unemployment or lay-off, you must report all our working days and hours on your application. If you work for more than one employer, the workdays should be reported by employer.
Please state the exact number of hours you have worked each working day. Do not roud the working time to the nearest hour or half hour. We use the work information you give e.g. for monitoring the accumulation of a new work requirement. Read more about fulfilling the work requirement again.
Please also state in your application all salary payment dates that you have had during the application period. If part of the salary for the work you have done during the application period will be paid later, please also state your estimate of the date on which the rest off the salary will be paid.
Salary affects the daily allowance for the application period during which the salary is paid. This way, you can send your application as soon as the application period ends - you don´t have to wait for the payday of the work you have done.

When you participate in a employment promoting service (TE service) you can apply for the increased daily allowance with the same application form as usually. The application should be sent in the same rhythm as usually (either in periods of 4 weeks or monthly).
While you participate in an employment promoting service mark in your application "TE-service" or "In training" if you are studying.
If you are absent from the TE service, always state your absence in the application (mark "Away for TE service"). The daily allowance is not paid for days of absence from TE services unless the reason for the absence is one's own illness, illness of a child under the age of 10 (absence for up to four days), a job interview or an equivalent reason related to employment.
If you work during the TE service, indicate in your application all working days, working hours for every working day and the date of payment of your salary.
If you participate in labour market training or independent study, the daily allowance is paid also for days of absence from the studies. So individual absences during studies do not have to be reported in your application. On the other hand, on compensation for expenses are paid for holiday periods during studies. Mark the holiday periods in your application as "Holiday (TE services)".
The daily allowance must be applied for within 3 months of the date from which the daily allowance is to be paid. If your application is about to expire because you are unable to compile the necessary attachments, you can send your application incomplete and complete it later.
Waiting for the TE Office's statement or waiting for attachments from the employer, are not such a particularly compelling reasons, that the daily allowance could be paid despite the delay in the application.
